Right well as you can see I have not posted an entry here for a while. This is due to sheer laziness. I have decided to move to Blogger and have posted a couple of entries already because it is much easier to put photos on. I will hopefully be keeping more regular entries. Will still be reading everyones xanga sites though so keep writing! My new address is www.heathermail.blogspot.com. At the moment trying to set up a mailing list so if you want any of my blogs emailed straight to you just email me at heathermail@hotmail.co.uk

Hey,
Thought it was about time I right another entry. It's reading week and time to catch up on all the work I was suppose to do and start major essays due in January. Unfortunately it's not going so well. I have my 1-2-1 with Anne which are great and have also had the effect (affect?) of making me enthusiastic to get organised with my work so I made a plan of what I was going to do and when. it has not worked. See when I did the plan I was a little optimistic about how long things were going to take. For instance I said I was going to do my research into my Cd sleeve notes and listen to the album in 2 hours, considering the album is an hour and 20 minutes long that was unrealistic. Then I have this analysis essay to do which was going to take two days to do first draft, no way, the essential book we are to read has sentences like 'this means not only that the familiar textbook forms (sonata, rondo, da capo aria) had a specific historical provenance, but also that they incorporated stylistic presuppositions of various sorts' so one chapter took ages to read and decipher and gave me such a headache that I have gave up and I am now going to try and use the small amount of analysis knowledge I already have and try and put it into practise instead. One good thing though is that although my reading week has not been that productive, I really have tried hard and spent time on my work which is considerably better than last year.

Well I only have Friday to do any more work as my mum is coming down to visit tomorrow which hopefully will go well. Then house party at the weekend which I am really looking forward to.

Right well i have put this off for long enough. I am not sure how well this is going to work. So here is my first ever blog entry! We have just got the internet working so i have no excuse now. You may notice but I am using photos so i have to write alot less.
I went home last weekend as it was my sisters birthday. She is now 19, getting old
We had a chinese meal, which was lovely. So here is Sharlotte blowing out so many candles, how did you manage!

Sharlotte eating the most delicious cake

Alex wanting cake (anyone know how to turn the picture round it's the right way up on photobucket)

Alex after eating some cake, much happier i think you'll agree

The opening of presents, Ali and I gave her some hair straightners. Alex was fasinated by the wrapping paper.

A Birthday hug for mummy, first time i had ever seen him hug anyone. Alex has grown up soooo much since i last saw him. He is no longer a baby.

This is graham, my sister husband(they got married this summer)who as you can see is a big kid at heart.

The final result, worth the effort i'm thinking

Here is my mum with Alex, Alex absolutely adores her.

Sharlotte hope you had a good time on Saturday night, sorry i could not be there, when i'm next down we will have to go out.
It was good to see everyone again - promise i won't leave it so long next time. It was a little strange though as my mum has just moved house so nothing was familiar and there were boxs everywhere. The house is really nice, more modern than I'll last house, I really like it, a v. good choice. oh and ali will be sending your cd's 2mo, and mum thankyou for sending my diary!

So i left for home last Thurday and came back on the friday relatively late. The next day was the women convention which clare, tracy, jess and I were stewarding at. It was a really early morning at 5 and by the end of the day we were completely knackered, but it was good fun and the friendship seminar which clare and i went to was really good and gave us alot to think about. It was also fantastic to see so many christian women in one place to learn more about Jesus. Then off to the churchs annual meal, the food was really good, unfortunatly i was really tired so i left early but good to see everyone there.
This week has been completely tiring, i forgot how tiring uni was, I have 3 very long days midweek but monday 1 2 hour lecture and friday off, I can't complain talking to people like steve and clare who have horrid timetables. I already seem to have a huge pile of work and am struggling to find time to practise. I should probably be doing that now!
On that note I'm going to stop.
